“The Bête Noire Tour", concertos de 1988/1989, originalmente editado sob o título de “New Town”, constitui uma obra-prima de Bryan Ferry, um dos pontos mais altos da sua carreira e, quem sabe, em termos estéticos o culminar/finalizar da estética moderna europeia. Visualmente este concerto nada tem a haver com outros dos anos 80, uma época onde vigorou um certo mau gosto visual, pelo contrário, aqui temos uma estética clássica, moderna, intemporal, com alguns elementos da selva africana e, porventura, até greco/romanos. Tudo magistralmente combinado sob o ponto de vista europeu para criar um filme único, onde cada gesto, cada pose foi estudada ao pormenor e ao qual se associam músicos de grande categoria.

"The Bete Noire Tour", concerts of 1988/1989, originally published under the title "New Town" is a masterpiece of Bryan Ferry, one of the highest points of his career and, perhaps, in the aesthetic terms the culminate / finish of the modern European aesthetics. Visually this concert has nothing to do with other 80s, an era in which there was a certain bad visual taste, on the contrary, here we have an aesthetic: classical, modern, timeless, with some elements of the African jungle and, perhaps, Greek / Roman. All beautifully combined under the European point of view to create a single movie, where every gesture, every look was studied in detail and in which are associated great musicians.
